Dot Day.

Art students at VCS started the year with a charming book about creativity and the importance of every piece of artwork, no matter how simple. They also learned the value in community artwork by working with many students in other grades to create a large mosaic of finished pieces. They learned about The Dot in Mrs. Shannon's library class, too!

They were then instructed to create an artwork based on a circle drawn on a square white piece of paper with watercolor paint. And of course, they signed their artwork. Just like the artist Vashti did in the story. These were the results.

Students were excited to show off their work to families at the VCS spaghetti supper Open House.

Happy Dot Day!
